An attempt to capture my travels - the diversity of the places I visit, the people I meet, touch & feel, sound & sense... Often, this helps me, express the satisfactory experiences of life, & at times, the not so good experiences too

India to England with dadagiri?
Dada has always been my favorite player, and I was happy to see him help us win yday. So if he did do a little dadagiri, it got him and the country some badly needed joy. His spell as captain of India may have been overshadowed towards the end of his tenure by a series of rows with then-coach Greg Chappell but Ganguly's self-confident approach, and refusal to be intimidated by opponents, helped stiffen the resolve of the team as a whole.
Dada's reputation enhanced as a 'golden arm', capable of taking important wickets.
First he had Matt Prior stumped by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and then had danger-man Ian Bell well caught by Dhoni.
India cut England’s lead to 3-2 now! England’s hopes of sealing the series dented definitely , till the next play. It will be nice going to London now.

I think it really shows the determination of the guy to come back to the Indian team after being kicked out. It also re-inforces my belief that he has more gumption than anybody else in the team - he may not be the most classically good batsman but makes up in attitude what he lacks in skills.
I saw the blog ! But could not include any comments since somehow the instruction content is in Japanese and I have not become an expert in the language as yet .
But I have to say that I always thought that your english was writer material and now I have seen it as a fact coming out in the blog . Please do take time to write a book on your experiences in Ogilvy or any other topic , it will definitely make a good reading for people who like to read !
yup, good to have Ganguly back and many of the other members could learn a lesson or two from him esp his grit and determination. He, however, needs to tighten up and work on his weak spots as thats what all smart bowlers are targeting.... and gradually he succumbs
All's well that ends well....... Three Cheers! to Indian Team and Ogilvy Hyderabad Team!!!!!!!! :)
absolutely dada is loved by one n all..n he showed his worth with a stellar perfomance like that..chak de!!!dada..
Agree with you... i love it when Saurav does well. He is such an instinctive player and more importantly backs it up with confidence and grit. Long live his brand of dadagiri!
Good going Mee. Was a pleasant to read, all of them. Just thought I'll let you know that I went to Lords and Oval for the test matches. It was fabulous. Its very difficult to get the 1 dayers tickets. Booked months ago and so expensive :(
Funny thing is that the English cricket lovers seemed to know more about each and every Indian player than we did.
Yes, it would indeed be a good time to visit me now! But honestly, we have a raging blog at our office, as well as in UBS (Abhi's office)and its a real shame to see all Indian supporters giving gaali to the team because we lost the few one dayers at the begining. Here I have noticed one thing, not that I follow football too ardently, but come what may, the club Chelsea, or Liverpool or any other such team supporters are 100% with the players/ team whether they loose or win!! We on the other hand tend to give more gaalis to our team if we loose out on 1 match!! We are very unstable with our support for our team and our players!! In the UBS cricket blog, the Indian supporters were so vehement in their gaalis, and the English cricket lovers got pissed, and actually said that 'the Indian supporters are worth giving only 2 hours of support in the movie theathers for films like Chak De. They are not life long team supporters. Chuck the Indian fans! Long live Indian cricket!!'
Now thats a bit sad, dont you think??
Hey Dammi
I feel guilty about the same myself- but a lesson there definitely. Thanks!
Tomorrow's game, I hope, will be another classic. It is a great series this one for us English, and a great experience for our young attack to take on Sachin, Ganguly, etc.
I think your batting class will prevail in the end...
Bad batting, bad fielding and bad umpiring prevailed in the end!
