An attempt to capture my travels - the diversity of the places I visit, the people I meet, touch & feel, sound & sense... Often, this helps me, express the satisfactory experiences of life, & at times, the not so good experiences too

Australia -Whitewash
Here's something that has never been seen before and given that I saw the Climate Crisis movie once again, just a few days ago, this was worrying - so its up for everyone's benefit, thanks to a friend who forwarded this alarming mail
Suddenly the shoreline north of Sydney were transformed into a Cappuccino Coast. Foam swallowed an entire beach and half & the nearby buildings, in a freak display of nature at Yamba in New South Wales
One minute a group of teenage surfers were waiting to catch a wave, the next they were swallowed up in a giant bubble bath. The foam was so light that they could puff it out of their hands and watch it float away.
Scientists explain that the foam is created by impurities in the ocean, such as salts, chemicals, dead plants, decomposed fish and excretions from seaweed. All are churned up together by powerful currents which cause the water to form bubbles. These bubbles stick to each other as they are carried below the surface by the current towards the shore. As a wave starts to form on the surface, the motion of the water causes the bubbles to swirl upwards and, massed together, they become foam.

Is this for real?
Omg, this is alarming! Frankly with hurricane katrina and the tsunami I am simply afraid of the sea!
Clouds of foam cannot make surfing fun:-(
its so horrifying.....its a complete whitewash of lives ......a bitter realisation of the changes happening
good god, this cannot be for real! when will we wake up to know we are fast speeding to dissaster?!
Oz has some of the loveliest beaches in the world and fair population uses this, too worrying to know what dissasters await that country or for that matter the world. We in our own way have started working with the climate chnage teams here, creating more awareness
Good heavens! When will we wake up to avert the impending disaster I wonder!?
Mama Mia! What in God's name is this:(
All- Am sure if we all do our lttle bit for the climate and the earth we will be ok. I was speaking with somebody a couplea days ago and they said maybe july 26th may repeat itself this year, given almost no rains thus far. Maybe we should, looking closer home, be ready to do something in our own way to avert another 26th july?:)
WOW...sure is an alarming eye opener !
apple27
Hey apple27shan how you been/:)
With the way it is raining today July 26th may happen quicker than anticipated. There was a total mess on the roads today. Just got to office. At filmcity a sumo had got into a divider, there was a large tree that had crashed in the middle of the marine lane. And today is looking most depressing. I hope by evening this gets better.
And why are we not seeing you post regularly?
Runa I hope so too:(
WoW.... must be an amazing experience ...wish i was there too :).
That was something like Tsunami !!
do you realize just how pathetic it is to post comments by yourself on your blog...just to make it "look" happening?
-two people do not make the same spelling mistake
-every commentor cant have a profile created in July 2008, with no blogs attached.
get a life!
